xAPI Hypothesis context value
This video describes how a hypothesis tag can be added to shortcodes that contain xAPI emitting activities (like H5P) in order to help provide additional context to where the activity takes place. In the video I demonstrate the idea of using a standard question-set spread across a course to measure student reported quality of activities.
I then take the same question and apply it in another context and add the hypothesis tag to the shortcode, which then will append that to the xAPI extensions property of the statement. These extensions can then be used later to filter and analyze responses as a whole as well as by filtering based on our hypothesis.
This could also be used to tag "new" videos throughout the course or ones that are experimental to see if they get higher ratings during a pilot offering or revision of material. It could also be used as more of a tagging system to help when building visualizations.
